About us
The idea for Bourbon Room Vintage was hatched in 2021 while walking the aisles of a Painted Tree Boutique store my wife was a part of with her boutique. When I looked around the store there was nothing really that appealed to men. As she expanded into more stores in Tennessee, I decided to rent a small 6x10 space and bring my idea to life. Taking my passion for bourbon, grilling and travel and creating a space that appealed to gentlemen with discerning taste. The response I received was overwhelming, the feedback was fantastic, so I opened another small booth in the Murfreesboro location. The response there was so great that the store called me shortly after opening asking me to take a larger space so I could carry more inventory. After thinking it over and running the numbers, I decided it was a good time to invest in this idea and make it grow. I took the space and developed an amazing following. When restocking my area, customers would come in and tell me how much they enjoyed the booth and that they regularly came in to see what was new. They also asked about products I didn't have yet, pushing me to search them out from quality makers and source them for my customers. I couldn't believe how quickly this dream became a reality. Of course, I also didn't know if they were there to see me or our blue heeler Chief that kind of became known as the mascot of our store. The success did not go unnoticed, and I had a lot of the store managers from other Painted Tree locations reaching out wanting me to expand into the stores because they had nothing like this. Bourbon Room Vintage was eventually in 17 stores nationwide and doing well. Then the economy slowed and we had to close some of the locations due to slow sales. We needed to reevaluate, looking at our best-selling items and most profitable locations. By doing this, it allowed us to keep this dream alive. The Murfreesboro customer base never failed us, along with the amazing staff in that particular location. Bourbon Room Vintage was always successful there because of a loyal customer base right up until Painted Tree closed all 60 plus locations nationwide abruptly in April 2026, stating it was no longer sustainable. We were in shock how would we continue, was this dream dead, how could we continue to service our loyal customers. We had always talked about going online and opening a new chapter with a wider reach, but was this feasible? We had and still have so many questions, but the closure of Painted Tree pushed us to turn the page and join the online marketplace. Please join us on this next chapter of our business and help us to continue to bring our unique ideas to life, helping our new and our loyal customers find that perfect item for themselves or as a gift.
